Where color, bass drops, and ancient tradition collide
Once a year, the quiet hills of Spanish Fork explode into a crazy cloud of pink, blue, yellow, and green as thousands gather at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple for the iconic Festival of Colors. This is the original U.S. color fest that kicked off the global trend, and it still hits different.
Across two days, the temple grounds turn into a non-stop chant and dance party: live mantra bands, high-energy DJs, crowd-led dance sessions, yoga classes, and hourly color throws that turn the sky into a moving painting. Expect big sound, bigger crowds, and a lot of “how is this real?” moments.
This isn’t just about getting coated in color. It’s rooted in Holi, the ancient Indian festival that celebrates the victory of light over darkness, friendship over drama, and new beginnings over old baggage. Everyone starts mostly in white; by the end, nobody’s separate—just one massive, rainbow-covered community.
On site, you’ll find vegetarian food, merch, T-shirts, buffs, sunglasses, and, of course, the only colors you’re allowed to use—eco-friendly festival powders sold within the venue. No outside colors or food are permitted, and the event is fully alcohol-, drug-, vaping-, and smoking-free, which keeps the vibe clean, safe, and family-friendly. Kids 12 and under get in free with an adult, making it an easy day out for families as well as squads.
Tickets are available online in advance, with gate pricing around $10 and options to bundle in color packets and merch. The festival runs rain or shine, so once you commit, you’re in—no hiding from the color clouds.
If you’re looking for that one event where you can dance like a maniac, reset your mood, and walk away looking like a living rainbow, the Spanish Fork Festival of Colors is it.
